SRS HTTP Client for Siebel
$499
Call modern REST and JSON APIs from Siebel without wrestling EAI HTTP Transport or hand-rolling the hard parts. A Siebel Business Service that turns an outbound HTTP call into a single method invocation - for developers and integrators working in Siebel eScript and workflow.
What it does
- GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, and DELETE as plain business service methods, callable from eScript or workflow.
- Set any request header via simple
hdr_*inputs - bearer tokens, custom headers, correlation IDs - with no server-side configuration. - UTF-8 enforced on JSON request bodies, so non-English payloads round-trip intact instead of arriving as mojibake.
- A configurable timeout so a slow endpoint can’t hang the thread.
- Honest error reporting: a real HTTP response returns its actual status code and body; a transport failure (unknown host, timeout, connection refused) comes back as an inspectable result with a plain-language message - not a raw Java exception - so your workflow can branch on it.
- Ships with the SIF defining the business service, its methods, and arguments, ready to import into Siebel Tools.
Fits your Siebel, today and after an upgrade
Delivered as two jars from a single purchase: one for older Siebel (Java 8, Apache HttpClient 4.x) and one for current Siebel IP releases (Java 21, Apache HttpClient 5.x). Same methods, same behavior, same SIF - so upgrading Siebel doesn’t mean rewriting your integration. The HttpClient library is provided by your Siebel installation; the jar contains only the service itself.
Requirements
Siebel with Java Business Service support, and the Apache HttpClient your release already ships (4.5.x on older Siebel, 5.4.x on current).
License
Single Production Enterprise license: covers one production Siebel Enterprise — yours, or a single client’s under a services agreement — plus that enterprise’s own non-production environments (DEV, TEST, UAT, and similar) at no extra cost. Deploying to more than one production Siebel Enterprise — including use across multiple clients by a consultancy or service provider — requires a separate license per enterprise, or a Multi-Enterprise License. Don’t resell or redistribute. Full terms in the included LICENSE.txt.
